The Rue Cler is about a 10 minute walk from my apartment. It is a pedestrian street that has fruit/vegetable venders, a poissonnerie, a fromagerie, a patisserie, a prepared food store, a flower shop and lots of different brassieres. It is a great place to flaneure and it also happens to be where Julia Child used to shop!!!
Breakfast at Brassiere Aux P.T.T
For 6 euros you get an orange juice, un cafe au lait, and a choice of croissant/un chocolat or a baguette with beurre
After our walk down the Rue Cler, we headed to the right bank to visit the Apple store
(not worth going into detail).
It ended up being a good reason to get us on the other side of Le Seine. We started our walk from L'Opera House and ended at the Louvre where we walked around les jardin des touilleurs for a little bit before we were run away by all the tourists.
I could have sat for hours watching all the dogs at this dog park. What a fun place to bring your dog. I met a dog named Fifi. So very french
We were not about to go fight the crowds of tourists so a selfie with the pyramid in the background is enough proof that we indeed visited Le Louvre!
(for the second time)
From le Louvre we walked back over le Seine on le Pont Royal and walked along le Seine and passed les bouquinistes until we turned right towards the Saint-Germain-Des-Pres area.
It was refreshing to stumble upon a more "local area" and see some current day culture
I have been taking note of almost every flower shop (which is a lot) and all the wonderful planters for my mom (which is also a lot!)
Goodnight, Eiffel Tower!
